For those who are doing double entrance doors - does Arden put door bolts on one side to keep it fixed? Or do they permanently fix one side?

Hi Jeeta, Did you ask for that floor waste in balcony? Did Arden do it themselves?
Hi Dskvic - Arden did it themselves, but I would have thought all balconies require it.
Jeeta23 Looks like all balconies do need it. The plumber has roughed in already but we didn't see the floor waste in balcony. We texted the SS but haven't heard from him yet. Honestly we've had zero ideas or inputs from Arden. Every step of the way we need to find out from other sources and then ask them. It's been frustrating for us. We are building for the first time, and don't have family or friends who've done it to ask either ( they bought established houses) Re: Arden Developments 1176Aug 21, 2017 9:09 am BTAhomebuilder Hi there. My partner and I have just signed up with Arden. I was just wondering how much extra it was to upgrade to 600x600mm tiles rather than the standard 450x450mm through the main living areas/kitchen. I was planning on putting in the Belga Grey tiles (seems to be a popular choice!). Thanks! Hi, the cost depends on your room size. Also there is additional labour charges if tile is 600mm size. There will also be an additional charge if you choose to lay it brick bond pattern over stacked. They said the additional charge was due to wastage. We have 600 x 450 tiles over fireplace, in 4 ensuite and powder room, with floor to ceiling in master ensuite and powder. The additional charge was $5200. An additional $350 for brick bond pattern over fireplace. Hope you find this info helpful. Re: Arden Developments 1177Aug 21, 2017 11:13 am BTAhomebuilder welcome! im not sure what the price would be but when you go to colour selections you can have a price quote and if it's too much you can choose to not go ahead with it. you can make changes up until contract. after contract you cant make structural changes (or even adding a light switch they'll say no) unless you pay a fee. It's been frustrating for us. We are building for the first time, and don't have family or friends who've done it to ask either ( they bought established houses) That was a real challenge for us too. We had some limited, but good suggestions and advice from the original sales consultant on some structural items, but the rest was through our own research and through forums like this one. I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard for Arden to compile a list of add-ons/extras that a client could look through and consider. Surely that could lead to extra revenue for them and less stress/better experience for the client? Of course ymmv depending on the upgrades that you want but i found those very helpful to get an idea of total budget. Sometimes you wish you can get all the best things about each builder, and get a "dream builder". LoL.
