They are BAL rated ones, so didn't have much choice with very limited selection from HUME doors.. And now, SS said that they cannot be stained to the color we want coz of the BAL material (??) and has to be painted if we want.. Gah What is BAL? They had it displayed but the rep we spoke to said no, while the guide book says yes.... Re: Building with Metricon 5723Jul 24, 2017 7:00 pm Renman That's disappointing news. Will it take affect for homes that have started building? My KDR Metricon Hampshire - Liberty - 45 Melb https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t I contacted my site manager today, he confirmed I am still getting Clipsal products. My house is in Adelaide and about to start the brickwork.... his reply: "Thanks for your email. You will still be receiving the Clipsal iconic series as per the below email and will not impact the progress of your build what so ever. Hopefully this answers your query. I think the issue is that they have been discontinued and most of the people on this page were contacted to say they won't be getting those particular switches and that they would be getting something else. I wasn't contacted so I'm hoping they had some available for my home. It's the SC2000 slimline. This happened a few months ago and has nothing to do with M changing suppliers. Then that is definitely an issue. We were notified the day before they were due to go in. As a result, we changed to a different sort for all switches except one: one of our 3 way switches in our main bedroom don't have the led plate on it. HTTPS://buildingourmetriconfelix18.wordpress.com Re: Building with Metricon 5739Jul 26, 2017 1:29 pm Jayjay84 We are doing the Nolan 50 but with a modern facade which is the cube with front balcony. The vantage has this facade. So now they put the cube facade on for us That's good. we wanted to build Pheonix with a façade from Glendale range but they said its not allowed hence had to settle for Glendale. Re: Building with Metricon 5740Jul 26, 2017 1:53 pm blackcat20 stanus are you sure? I did selections two weeks ago and the were still using clipsal products. I even got some of the switches changed over to the series 4000 type. There was no mention of HPM, and they were using the clipspec program to allocate were the power switches will go. Yes, very sure. Confirmed by M at the Studio today (we'd already heard rumours). Its their new contracted provider. Theyll also be changing over to the new program for electrical selection appointments shortly. Any reason why they dropped clipsal?
