Confused about shower niches; I want to make ours smaller (reduce the height) but I'm being told its not possible "due to the timber frames". Yet I'm sure people here are having them done with heights less than 450? I've asked them to tell me what size I can have thats rectangular as I dont want a giant 450x450 square niche.

The deal is (per what we got told last week) is that you can have 450x450x90 deep or 350xfull shower width x90 deep or 350xfull shower width -100mm each side x90

I just want 450x400x90 but seems I'm out of luck, though I'm waiting to see what options they come back with.

Ok thanks. I might have to learn to live with a square then.

I'm somewhat surprised we havent made any progress towards selections and contracts yet, but with our wedding in four weeks its going to have to go on the backburner anyway...

I have a water meter question for all the fellow knock down rebuild Metricon builds out there.

Our water meter was originally in the middle of our proposed new driveway.

We paid Metricon to freeze and relocate it but they have relocated it to the side of the driveway but still in a position where I will definitely knock it over within a week, especially at night.

Has anyone had this happen as I am insisting this be moved but I don't think this will be an easy fix now that the property pole is in and has underground cabling in the spot where the meter should have gone.

Yup... lucky we upgraded the light switches to the impress - although we had one normal one in our main bedroom (what?!) that will be getting fixed.

We've got Slimline SC2000 impress switches in our contract but haven't heard anything from M to say they've been discontinued. Are they the switches everyone is talking about?

We didn't upgrade the switches, the ones in our contract were a standard option. I liked them because they looked more modern.

We had the Saturn Zen switches in the open areas for the ground floor and Slimline in the other area and all of upstairs.

The new Iconic with the green light doesn't go we Zen.

Wonder if I should ask M to do a good deal for me to upgrade everything on the ground floor to Zen. I think I might be dreaming. Lol
