I have only ever been overseas once, on our honeymoon to Fiji and it was incredible. As long as it's hot and the sun shining I will be in heaven

We are thinking late Jan early Feb... Will have to check out the weather for that period but pretty sure that is when we will choose to go.

When we were speaking with Kylie, she said hoping to start us late September early October and if that is the case we should be in our house by March, April at the very latest.

Where in Vanuatu are you saying?

If on the main island, the Cascades is really fun to do but dont do it as a tour, arrange to get there/back yourself. Much more enjoyable.

I know, feels so real like its actually going to happen, was losing hope for a while there lol.

We are staying in Port Villa at Warwick Le Lagoon for 5 nights. Thanks for the tip, I am obsessed with waterfalls so I will definitely be organising to do this

Port Vila is now crowded, I was there 20yrs ago and it was like a small, lazy town so my advise is to look for things away from Vila.

If you go to the cascades, take/wear those reef surf shoes because you can (use to, in case its changed) walk right up/into the waterfall and swim in the pools.

I am so excited for 2017, we will be going on a holiday, our beautiful home will be done, no more living with in laws, also my brother and his wife are due to have a baby so are my husbands brother and his wife so pretty good year all round

We hope to pay our 5% deposit today, if I can work out how to redraw on our land loan

I admit it, last week I had major anxiety and was thinking sell ours and buy something else as building new seems so hard to do... Im slowly calming down so hope to learn a lot from your build

If that is a serious question

, check your balance and the amount available for redraw will be in "+"... you can just withdraw that amount like you are withdrawing cash from a savings account...Good luck

Just be mindful that people write more about things that go wrong than about things that go right - I've been super-wary of my build process so far because so much is written on here about what goes wrong and builders doing the wrong thing - even though our builders of choice have so far been fantastic (I feel I've been a bit unfairly sceptical of the whole process so far - although staying wary since it's a significant sum of money!!)
