Who is building with Beechwood

They do quote fixed price for piering now. That is what it says in my tender and was mentioned as well by Beechwood @ Kellyville.

I agree with what has been said in past few posts. Maybe allow yourself $100000 over base price for extras, and site costs. Try and find out what your BAL (bushfire attach level) would be if you are anywhere near some bushland as this can put costs up significantly.
I think we went somewhere around the $100K mark over.

When did people have their air conditioner installed? Was it very long after handover? Ours is apparently scheduled for a week after handover. In this chilly weather, I am less than happy with that news.
I don't see how hard it is for things to be scheduled to co-incide with handover like other companies manage to do!

Also only just noticed that we only have two outdoor taps. Our tank had to be moved to rear of house, and the tap that is on the backwall actually is rainwater (we thought it was mains). The other tap at front of house is the mains tap.
Are people only getting two taps (one mains/one rainwater) as standard? Should we have asked for a different setup?

Can I just ask was the tank moved during your build or after handover? Im keen to have ours moved to the back...I was told by BH it would cost to much to put it there, but my friend building with BH too had hers put at the back.

The water tank is normally part of the slab. If it has been installed already, it would be a lot of work to move it.

Mine has it's own slab & isnt installed yet, do you think it's still possible? I thought it was in the best position but it'll be seen from the street when coming down the hill, it might be bit of an eyesore.

Hi lileegirl - our tank was upsized by council! So we had to move it to the rear of house (during approval stage with council), as we wanted to maintain yard access up side. It's a big 12500 litre tank. It sits where the window for bed 3 should be at the rear, so we had to move that window to side of house.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the added electrical cost! But I think most builders would only be including the minimum. We did go for downlights, and that is costly - but hopefully worth it!

Anyone tell me roughly what they are paying for antenna (with installation and gst)? We got quote of $410 for antenna, and amplifier (as we have about 6/7 tv points through house) - would that sound reasonable?

The delays are hard hey, especially when the weather is good!!! The fascia & guttering are usually installed in one day so your roof should go on next wk also
We had a crazy amount of tradies over the last wk, internal plumbing, gas fittings, electricial, downpipes, eaves & cladding all in, has been a great week. Im told gyprocking is next wk, wish it was happening tomorrow though we're already 8wks behind.

Anyone have the seville facade you could please share a pic?? im not keen on the cladding, I was lead to believe it'd be timber but its some sort of fibro sheeting, looks really cheap, I so hope it looks better all painted!

We are currently a week behind from the rain. Brickies working hard hopefully we will have them finish up early next week. Fingers crossed for sunshine for us all!!

Good to see you are moving on guys. Yep the delays are very irritating. Can't help the rain, i understand that, but certainly doesn't help the frustration. Patience is certainly not my virtue Lol. Especially seemings our 2 neighbours came out of council 1 and 2 months after us and are both ahead now. 😣 I'm not criticising BH because i know they are busy around here at the moment and can't help the weather but its still frustrating. 😲
