Switch Homes - Doubleview WA

I have been following a few threads here for so long, and finally I got the time and energy to start a post of my own.

My block is in Doubleview WA, it is a 683sqm block with a handy ROW. So we decided to sort out the finance and build two houses. I am not a fan of the housing industry in Australia, so many pitfalls, like the forever rising strata fees, most newly developed homes with glorious outside but rubbish inside. I know it is going to take forever to find a home with a design I like, and even if I found it, who knows what kind of well-hidden nasty problems I might end up with. Building seems a very good option, but after some research on the internet, I concluded that there was no perfect builder, just like no perfect house. Each and every builder, you can find some bad reviews on the internet. I guess the best we can do here is talk to some builders, choose one that feels right, have some faith and hope for the best. That is what I am doing with Switch Homes.

Here are some basics:
Block Demensions: 15.1m X 22.5m Approx. Each
Design: Havana (Limited Edition) which includes
31c to ground floor
28c windows and doors to ground floor of home, 25c to upper floor
Samsung ducted air conditioning system 10 outlets and 5 zones
30 HPM LED downlights to home
HPM Arteor switches in Pearl or White to all visible area’s
Caesarstone benchtop to kitchen
Caesarstone benchtop to ensuite
Overhead cupboards to kitchen and fridge recess
Ariston 900mm stainless steel professional free standing cooker & canopy rangehood

Timeline:
14/11/2015 Building contract & Addenda signed
8-9/2/2016 Slab & footings finished
19-23/2 Bricks, shed, frames loaded
3/3 Bricklaying started
14/04 Ground floor bricks complete
04/05 Upper floor slab poured
