Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11487Feb 08, 2016 5:10 pm Hello again! Two questions today: For those who did floors (tiling or floorboards) after handover, does that mean BW lays skirting and you have to remove/reinstall to get your floors in? Is it worth extending the bedroom BIR and making them wider? Got a quote for it in our tender... not sure if its worth it or will just make the room seem super small. Cheers, Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11488Feb 08, 2016 6:36 pm themamaminute Hello again! Cheers, We are quiet progressed with our build and after looking at them I said to hubby I wish I did extend them but in saying that I didn't receive a quote for that so I don't know if what BW ask is reasonable. We have put in our specs for a fourth (and hopefully final) tender with BH at the Cooranbong office. We were told it would be back Sunday. Fingers crossed because I'm more than ready for this ball to be rolling. Looking forward to sharing our progress here and getting some advice ? Is this before you paid the $5500 or after? Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11496Feb 10, 2016 5:53 am We settled on our 3rd tender. But it was us that changed things, not BH. From 1st to 2nd we removed the grand part of Terreza, and changed a few other things. Then from 2nd to 3rd, we added the grand Terrazza back. Since signing off on it and paying deposit we are now up to 3rd variation of 3rd tender. Which just included adding the tiles for grand back on which they accidentally left off (but this was a misunderstanding, not a fault), then extra provisional allowance for build and now waiting on 3rd for changing wooden pillions to brick piers to Terrazza. We did a day trip to Nowra yesterday and finally settled on bathroom/ensuite tiles. Now just waiting on confirmation on a few things and we are good to go once we have colour selection day. Hoping the 2nd round drawings come back this week and they are good to go to developer and CDC. (Once again changes we made not mistakes they did). We cannot fault our process so far. But not at building stage yet. Advise we were given by someone who has built 4 different houses with 4 different builders was to be patient. At the end of the day you get a beautiful house. Remember that they are a company building hundreds of houses not just yours. Something I think a lot of people forget. 20/11/15 - Settled land 06/11/15 - Request 1st tender BH 21/04/16 - Colour Selections and Contracts Signed 31/05/16 - Commencement Letter 24/06.16 - Started work onsite - cut and benching begun Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11497Feb 10, 2016 6:40 am Verdelho5TGT Hi there, First time here and have read through a few pages. Hope its been enjoyable for you Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11909 Elvis has left the building... The site supervisor quit after 2 month on the project. I guess he was just instructed to bark at people, but didn't like when he was… 26 21772 |
