Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11407Feb 04, 2016 7:15 am Trust me I don't disagree, I just thought I'd give you the heads up as you're just starting the process. Some people are already difficult to deal with. I used to sit there thinking did you really just say that to a paying customer. It wasn't until we were having trouble getting through council and our salesperson said not my problem, that I unleashed on here. I didn't mention names, but she had a chat to my husband about my rant. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11408Feb 04, 2016 7:44 am What can one say, if the tender process has been that bad why are you still talking to them Mrwoody or anyone else? All I can say is that the tender process was the pleasant part of the whole building process, everything after contract signing was a complete and utter cluster ...., we are now preparing our home for sale after the process and Beechwoods managements attitude. Because we love the floorplan and trust me, after the meetings we had. We looked at ALL other builders Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11410Feb 04, 2016 7:57 am Project builders only I guess. So now you have been promised the world by sales staff who once the contract is sign have no influence and you will be lumped with Beechwood itself(sales staff are employed by a seperate mob contracted to Beechwood) and will just have to accept what you get. I am sure cost came into it as Beechwood appear cheaper, in the long run they are not. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11411Feb 04, 2016 8:07 am The usual statements here on this forum, we loved the floor plan, they were cheaper, etc. How often has it been said that the build quality was better on the homes we visited or when we door knocked completed homes the owners gave positive reviews or complaints against Beechwood were less than other builders when Dept of Fair trading were contacted? I guess things like that don't count, the minnons will keep lining up blinded by the glitzy lights and cheaper prices, i guess it is the way of the modern world. Want some photos of the excellent build standards of Beechwood, P.M me I have plenty showing how poor it is, every brick of a new home pulled down and relaid, rusting slabs, brickwork overhanging slabs etc, etc. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11412Feb 04, 2016 8:42 am Im not here rubbishing beachwood by any means. Im simply expressing concern and sympathy to others who are going through the same heart ache as us so early on in the piece. And please lets try get back on track with how amazing peoples builds are and there progress. WHAT STAGES ARE PEOPLE UP TO? Quite a few presentations have been done in the past few weeks. Are people super excited? Us, we are still at tender BUT paid the land deposit and $5,500 to BW Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11413Feb 04, 2016 8:48 am So Mrwoody this forum is only for "how amazing" it all is, I thought the idea behind the forum was to inform people about good and bad. Maybe you are a Beechwood rep? Were are we up to, we have finished, we are disgusted with the quality, have utilised Dept of fair trading to get some things fixed and are now heading to the tribunal through our solicitors for other things. No, not at all. But i cant help but feel ive bought the mood down in here Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11416Feb 04, 2016 9:01 am arms38 So Mrwoody this forum is only for "how amazing" it all is, I thought the idea behind the forum was to inform people about good and bad. The only reason im moving forward is because ive personally seen a lot of BH built in my area that are of quality construction, I havent seen homes in other areas, but what I have seen gives me confidence that I'll have a well built, affordable family home...but doesn't stop me praying all will go well for ours! Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11417Feb 04, 2016 9:01 am Well that doesnt look good. Until ive had trouble with the build i cant rubbish them. At this warly stage ive only had dramas with a sales rep. But you have good reason to be upset with that slab and by the sounds of it, your whole build. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11418Feb 04, 2016 9:02 am I have to say i used to be like you all and form the same opinions. BUT let me tell you, it doesn't matter if you go through Beechwood, another project home builder or a smaller niche builder who only does 15-20 homes a year. Similar problems arise and there are ALWAYS going to be problems with communication etc. My parents are currently building through a much much smaller builder and it isn't cheap by any means so certainly not a budget builder and even they have had similar problems also. It made me realise this stuff happens with any builder regardless of price or size. Its just apart of the business. I have to say im more than happy with the quality of my build but again it's like anythint some with fly through with no problems and others will have many. Its unfortunate but its just what happens regardless of the builder. Sorry to hear arms yours hasn't been good at all. The faults below were only discovered when this particular owner had the slab exposed. A bit of brick overhang. Exposed rio and where has that support beam gone? Just remember home warranty insurance only lasts for 6 years now, after that you are on your own! Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11754 Elvis has left the building... The site supervisor quit after 2 month on the project. I guess he was just instructed to bark at people, but didn't like when he was… 26 21492 |
