I think the whole estate is far away from the Northern Road to not worry if that's the noise you're concerned about? We weren't too fussy with our lot, just took what we could get! Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 87Aug 10, 2015 7:31 am HollieLot1477 Hi hooms, as far as the traffic noise goes sorry, I can't help there. I love the area so happy for whatever come along with it I know the second release of land in Bradley heights actually was sold today or part of it anyway. Thanks HollieLot1477, I've been waiting for this release and I was at the opening yesterday. I could get the lot I was after, it was a very stressful day. Hi First_Home_Adventure, Thanks for the info, traveling to Glenmore Park is my weekend job now and I really like the suburb. I was lucky to find a lot in the Bradley Heights new release yesterday. Now it's time to start the research about the builders. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 89Aug 10, 2015 9:38 am Have they released the 2nd stage in Bradley Heights?, I do not believe that any lots left on 1st stage.. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 90Aug 10, 2015 9:51 am Dami_nic01 Have they released the 2nd stage in Bradley Heights?, I do not believe that any lots left on 1st stage.. It was stage 2a which Glenmore Park Realty released yesterday, 14 lots which all sold in 30 minutes. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 91Aug 10, 2015 10:10 am That's great news Hooms, congratulations! Oh I didn't know stage 2 was released, it would have been stressful getting a lot! I wonder why stage two isn't going through the same real estate as stage 1... Does anyone have any opinions on paint for ceiling? We are going with dulux natural white on our walls (or maybe whisper white) we were going with vivid white for our ceiling... But now I'm thinking perhaps I should leave the ceiling colour the same as the walls?? What are you all doing? Thanks, I was following the same agent as stage 1 but I registered with few agents a week before and was lucky to get their email alert. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 93Aug 10, 2015 10:46 am Do you guys have any experience with Elderton Homes? I'm going through different options to choose a builder but couldn't find much review on these guys. They look organised and friendly but it doesn't mean they can build with high quality. I hadn't thought about paint or ceiling colour as yet but just as a person preference, I like the ceiling to be lighter/whiter then then walls rather then the same colour or a difference between the two anyway, I am terrible with colours though Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 95Aug 12, 2015 9:21 am Sorry hooms, no experience with Elderton Homes other then going into the display office at mulgoa rise a few times and not being too impressed by the sales people. In mulgoa rise they have quite a few homes they have built and I am seeing more and more by them so that can only be a positive. I did think their display was quite nice also. Thanks HollieLot1477, I reckon I have to look around and read the forums for builder reviews. Which one are you building with, are you happy with their approach and quality. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 97Aug 12, 2015 11:03 am Hi Hooms, Early this year We also talked to the sales guys in Elderton display. But not impressed with them at all....Then we went to Adenbrook and very much of impressed with the sales girl there.. She just wanted to get the business. But We decided not to proceed after seeing all the surprises on New Home Proposal appointment. After spending weeks and weeks of builder hunting we went back to Elderton again. Luckily that time they have got better sales guys in Mulgoa rise..We went through the initial process and couple of weeks back we had our tender appointment as well.So far we are happy with them..But it is too early to say anything.. Do your own research and find out who is best for you..Even the Best builder can completely ruin your dream. That is what I have seen from some of my mates experience.. Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 98Aug 12, 2015 12:26 pm Hi Hooms, We're building with Metricon, but only because the first lots released were H&L packages (sort off anyway!) and that was the only house/land that suited us! If we had of waited & got just the land by itself we may have chosen a different builder. I have a friend building with Casalina Homes in another estate, which is a smaller builder & they do custom homes... They offer fixed site costs & have amazing inclusions! If we ever build again I'll be looking into those guys! Re: Anyone building in Bradley Heights? 99Aug 12, 2015 12:46 pm We are building with Allcastle and are pretty happy so far, some of the prices for upgrades have been crazy but no more so then any other builders. We built previously with Beechwood and would not again. Every builder will have happy customers and not so happy customers, it's really working out who you feel most comfortable with. Thanks Dami_nic01, this is going to be a tough decision and I have to go through reviews and meet the sales guys. The problem is a good sales person doesn't guarantee a good quality house but as you said I have to do my research and choose one. Building Standards; Getting It Right!
