I love your master suite, ensuite and powder room set up, that looks great - loads of bench space in the ensuite. I love dual wall ovens in the kitchen, your layout looks pretty good. Lots of drawers and overheads. What are you having in the WIP? The pre start girls are fantastic, mine spent ages with me going over our kitchen. My initial thoughts with yours are to swap your bin recess and dishwasher. What colours are you looking at? Just had a look at your plans too - they're lovely! In the WIP we're going to have a 3 door pantry on one side (I pinched the idea from a thread on here actually), and the other side will be a bench with underbench drawers and overhead cupboards. We're looking at all white for the kitchen. I'm a bit unsure about the spashback, but I think we'll do that post handover so will worry about that then. Thanks for the feedback about the bin / diswasher recesses. What colours have you gone for in the bathroom and ensuite? I've been to the DA showroom a couple of times now, but I just can't seem to work out a tile selection. Looking at K1 we reconfigured everything to make all the drawers wide (instead of having the narrow cutlery draws) and changed one of the double cupboards to drawers too. We found our prestart consultant to be very helpful so I am sure you will get lots of great tips on the day The bathroom tiles for us was a real struggle too. After hours and hours in tile shops and at their showroom we found it easier looking online at their homes and going into the DA display homes to find what we liked. In the end we completely copied the tiles and laminates from their Elwood display because it worked so well, and was a bathroom we really liked and could see right there in front of us. It is quite challenging trying to imagine what a bathroom will look like with just one tile in your hand, and a little sample of laminate in the other! And of coarse they have a big folder at their showroom which everyone has access to stating exactly what was used in each of their display homes (from paint colours, to tiles, laminates, benchtops etc). I love this folder All the best with prestart, very much looking forward to seeing all your selections! Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh demolish and build 10Jul 17, 2015 10:12 am I think I'm going to have to do the same and just scour the display homes. That's kind of what we did with the external colours as I struggle to visualise what it will look like from a small sample. I think it was someone's post in your thread actually from which I pinched the idea of the 3 door pantry. So does buttering, her home was built by Premiere homes but her kitchen/WIP is based on the Stoneleigh from memory. I agree that the colour books in DA central are fantastic for helping make selections, we found the bathrooms hard too. I will post my colours on my thread shortly Our Custom Dale Alcock build in the Village at Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78620 Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh demolish and build 12Jul 17, 2015 5:14 pm Hi Marley, welcome to the gang! Lots of progress since the last time I checked in. It took a while to get the demolition sorted, but now that's done and the slab is down too. Bricks etc have been delivered, and I'm assuming they'll start the brickwork after Christmas. We have had some issues, but to be fair DA have been pretty responsive. Great that they got the slab down before xmas. Your build should fly up in the new year Re: Dale Alcock Stoneleigh demolish and build 16Dec 19, 2015 1:48 pm Good news that you have the slab settling nicely over Christmas and I hope they get started pretty quick in January Our Custom Dale Alcock build in the Village at Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78620 Thank you so much everyone.
