Out of curiosity what have people been quoted for blind/curtains for the house?

$16k through birk. We are doing a Sandringham 2 storie 45 sq PD so similar I guess to the Waldorf. That's with a $2k motorised blinds for three family room.

Roman blinds in bedrooms.

Blinds everywhere else. Drapes in theatre room.

Plantation shutters in 4 internal spots.

Just a quote we will probably do post handover through a mate of mine to save some $$.

For the 48 with family/guest extension quote came in at $17.5. That was draped in master and theatre, plantation shutters in ensuite, no fittings in bathrooms, Romans in all other rooms.

Will update blog tonight, but was talking to framer today who mentioned your build (just that it was going to be started again).

Seems like it is well known within PD.

Fascia and guttering should be on in next couple of days, before roof will start.

Thanks Mirz, I went upstairs today and had a bit of a heart attack. The rumpus room is massive! Not sure how to furnish it haha

It does ... Anyone excited about how fast there house is going up..be cautious.and get inspections.. We are coming up to 11 months at construction.. And it has been a hurdle. Draining and disappointment .

Noted deefeez. I have informed PD that we are getting independent inspectors for all stages and my SS is also aware. He advised me to organise the independent inspector for next week.

Framer has been on site 7 days a week (even through the hot and humid days we have had).

He has also asked me if I don't mind him correcting some things he believes will impact the aesthetics of the build (eg bulkhead in the theatre room had 2 sides at 400 and the other 2 at 600). He didn't need to do that IMO. Gave me a sense he wanted to ensure we where happy with the build.

My one started on 16 th of august .My SS wants me to book in PCI on 18th of march. I can see he is rushing to finish the work. lots of things not completed. he is also asking me to book private inspection on same day. My concern are of wasting money if the work not completed by then.
