The public exhibition is for the revision to the Wollongong Local Environmental Plan to accommodate development on the precincts. The DA for the subdivision and the Wollongong LEP are two separate processes. The public exhibition for the subdivision occurred before the DA process was initiated. I don't know what it means but would be interested to know if it affects anything. I know there are colours but was there something else? Have you paid 10% on the land only or have you paid some of the building deposit too? We are building with Masterton who are the parent com pony of new living and waiting on final plans before paying the deposits. Ledzep your with MJH aren't you? Seems each builder is doing their own thing. We have asked for 5% on the land but not heard back as yet. Anyone else get permission for 5% and have it approved? Who are you building with? Hopefully work on the land can start this year. If you don't ask they will say 10% . We only got 5% from requesting it. Pretty unhappy about not getting any feedback about what's going on. The last email said 2-3 weeks expected to have the DA approved so after those weeks have passed well on i feel like we should have been informed by now what's still holding us up . I guess it means it can stay in my acount for a little longer. I am Building with MJH Also. I must say I am starting to get a little worried about when we will actually be moving in and also the extra over for gong over the 12 months to fix the build price!! As you say legally you are still liable for 10%. The delays are worrying. Especially since there are no updates coming. I imagine that they will struggle to get working on the land this year which would mean house building will be a while off yet. Deffinately not February and probably not April for land registration. Once registered all plans will have to submitted to WCC then approved then the builder will have to start their countdown to start work. Most people are probably looking at a 4 to 6 month build time too. At least the land prices are good. Long wait ahead. We'll just have Darkes rd as a problem until they eventually resurface it.
