Just a suggestion ... but if you change the thread title to have the builder's name in it, you might have more chance of snagging a response.

Iam Building with Kurrajon Homes in Ropes Crossing. It started in August,2013. Recently when i had a look, Roof was done.

So far iam happy with Kurrajon Homes, the plan came well with the limited space i have.

Only thing i was disappointed was, as a i dont have experience with the construction. Iam not aware there is a Full Brick house concept. As mine is 2 level house (Ground + level 1). The bricks where only till Ground roof level. Level 1 have cladding except front. Front have bricks.

Lets have to see, how it will shape it up.

Hi Everyone,I am very new to this blog.

Got a block and plan to build a single storey home in ropes crossing in Talloway release.Just thinking about couple of things

How long Kurrajong normally takes to build.
Do they make any delay in delivering.

How is the public school in Ropes crossing?

After Lot of Dramas. My building keys were given to me.

It was delayed for 2 months, After lot of pressure from me. They agreed that it will be delivered by MAY. But though i moved in, there are few works pending.

As per last payment, they took that so i dont get any updates on when the pending works will be completed. I heard from one of the Customer of Kurrajon homes customer that though it was said that Post box will be bagged and painted. It was not painted till now and they occupied the premises 10 months back.

So make sure, before the Final payment all work should be completed.
Only the Finance department in Kurrajon homes will respond and follow on time.

Kurrajong Homes should change their name to LEMON HOMES !!!

As soon as you make the first payment, things will slow down to a HALT... I have seen and heard of bad builders but these guys are worst... Unreliable and inexperienced trades/workmanship. Their site supervisors are hardly ever visit the sites and their build quality is all based on MAXIMUM TOLERANCES OF DEFECTIVE WORKMANSHIP.

We got bitten by them not knowing that it would take them more than 16 months almost from concept to build our house for a land that was registered and paid for before concept.

Major defects with our build which were fixed damaging the integrity of our BRAND NEW HOUSE... !!!

As soon as you pay the deposit, you will start getting neglected by their office staff who is never available to talk.

They will exploit you openly and be upfront about it as their contract clearly states $1 a day compensation on delays... CHEAP BUILDERS WITH NO STANDARDS, THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS !

I will always STEER CLEAR of them in future !
