Hi DG85, We had our kitchen cupboards upgraded. The diamond range is not the sheen finish, it's actually the createc ultra gloss finish. We were quoted $700 for the sheen finish which is a gloss finish but not like the createc ultra gloss. As we wanted the same as the diamond range, we chose the createc for an additional $2K. We got the sheen finish for the bathrooms though, that was an additional $250 for two vanities, one being a 1800mm double bowl and the other a 1200mm single bowl. Hope that helps. After reading your post, I am so scared whether they are giving me Gloss or Ultra gloss as I checked my Kitchen contract it just says "gloss". So Clarendon is charging so much for soft close is it? Got to give a call to them. I am afraid nothing can be changed now. Who's building with Clarendon?? 1671Aug 12, 2014 8:46 pm PennoDream Sydney-build - ensuite is $1,475 and main bathroom $1,385 Powder room is $1,010 but we are not doing that. Hmmmm thanks Can anyone comment on their reliability ? I mean you spend thousands and how long these things last ? Is there a guarantee ? After all don't these go under the tiles ? So if there is a problem this mean tiles have to be ripped out ?? I'm sure these things would have been thought out. I'm ready to spend $1400 odd but provided there is some guarantee of it working for 20-30 years !! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 1672Aug 12, 2014 8:49 pm We got the our beautiful staircase today. Just wondering should they leave a gap for the tiles or the tiling would be done around it. Any ideas anybody? ------------------------------ Sherwood 37 Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 1673Aug 12, 2014 8:56 pm Sydney-build PennoDream Sydney-build - ensuite is $1,475 and main bathroom $1,385 Powder room is $1,010 but we are not doing that. I feel its a small price to pay to get that touch of luxury. Anyone I know with heated flooring swears by it - especially for the low cost. That being said we have upgraded everything!!!!! We are also going to go ahead with the Advacoat for the garage floor. Built a Fairmont 35 in Pennant Hills. As we are going with a white kitchen, ours was called Ultra Gloss White. In saying that, at one stage before we chose white, we were going to go with Black Wenge and I remember seeing the name as Black Wenge Gloss. I'm quite confident that if the word "gloss" is in your contract, you have nothing to worry about. Sheen is the other one that is not the same, not "gloss". Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 1678Aug 12, 2014 10:19 pm Hi guys. What's your opinion on the 1200mm Pivot Doors? We are re-considering just having a hinged one so we can have a screen door on the front - But screen doors are ugly, so we're not sure what to do. Is it possible to actually have a good looking screen door that can show off the front door as well a bit? What are your opinions on screen doors? Yay or nay? Anyone got any pics of some decent looking screen doors!? BB, We have chosen a 1200 pivot door as well. We definitely won't be putting a screen door as we think that this would be such a waste by hiding such a beautiful expensive door behind some ugly screen door.
