How much was your land area? mine is 295 and this endorsing thing is only with the land which is < 300sqm.

Not sure about the endorsed plans, our plans were super fast to be approved by council I thought that would have taken ages!

Hi all. My Husband and I are also building in Eucalypt. Our land is due to title in May and build to start in July. We are located in Dalwood way off whitebark and we are building with porter davis. We are hoping the land will title at the due date. It's great to hear from others building or have built in this estate. It seems like a great place to live

Hi Tan11 your going to be a few streets down from us. The estate is coming along nicely, every time I visit our block there are more houses starting to pop up. Which Porter Davis home are you building?

Our slab is getting laid this week, its exciting to see it all coming together.

That's great K8Ken, you are at the exiting part. We are building the Monaco with Porter Davis. If feels like a long way off for us but I'm sure time will fly.

Monaco is very nice, we were looking at that one as well. Have you been to your colour selection?

Yes I really like the Monaco, we wanted a plan with the master bedroom at the back of the house and fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. We had looked at the Chelsea previously but liked this one better with the layout and double garage. Which builder are you building with? We haven't had colour selection yet but are going to browse this weekend. I really want to see what comes standard because we don't want to upgrade much so hoping there's some nice things in category 1.

We are building with Boutique, so far so good. Very impressed everyone has been very professional and helpful. We decided to build the Barcelona. Colour selection was fun, we had visited nearly every display home in Melbourne and chose the colours and materials before our appointment so it made it easy to decide on the day. We did upgrade a few things though, I just cant wait to move in now!!

Seem that the construction is taking forever, they work on 3 days a week... Sometimes few hours... Recently we found that intruders tried to break in the house and damaged the doors, my neighbour got his window smacked!!! Wat a shame... I wish the construction finish soon

Liz85 - I noticed Friday night your lovely driveway - it looks great! Sorry to hear about the intruders... what is with that? Hopefully everything is alright now. Do you have an end date yet to move in?

We are still waiting for a site start. I'm assuming we're waiting on Council approval.
Our little area is certainly getting busy with more sold stickers on lots

Hi Greycellgreen, its great to talk to ppl who will be living in the area. I love the Third Place Café, it really is unlike any area I have been to and I just love the feel there. We still have so long to wait until our land titles but saw the first street light go in last week so its a start

We love the estate. We visited many on our search for land and Eucalypt just felt like home every time we drove through it. We've taken our bikes up there and ridden around the creek on the paths that are already established. It also doesn't have the hoon/yobbo feel to it that other estates nearby do. It has a great multi cultural feel to it.

The waiting is the hardest part. Just think 3 months until settlement... then from there it's for a site start. We're already mid Feb now and time will fly, although feel slow between now and then.

I agree with you about the feel of Eucalypt, its not like any of the other estates in the area. It has a very family orientated down to earth feel about it, which we love.
How about you moving along with your build? Are you guys still waiting on the building permit?

Our build is moving really fast, we have all our frame up now and next week the tiler will start then brick work. Its all exciting I love being about to walk around it now and can actually understand where everything goes and how it all fits.

Tan11 - The waiting part is the hardest, but once that comes along the build will fly.

Will have to check out the cafe we haven't been there yet. I love that its going to be a short walk from our houses too! Bonus!

K8ken - we are waiting for Stockland to approve our design and then we have to wait for the permits to be approved. We've been given a site start date of 5 March. I'm not holding my breath. Yes I've seen how quick your build is going! We visit the block quite regularly to see what's going on and your frame went up in like 2 days! It looks great! Even though I dislike those front taps I cannot tell you how excited I will be to see them on our block lol.

Hi greycellgreen, fingers and toes crossed it all gets approved and the start date sticks! Did you make lot's of changes to the plan? I think we were just lucky our permit got approved in no time I think because it was the week before Christmas as well.
The tiler starts on our house this week, then bricks next week. Love going up there and seeing the progress.
There are houses popping up everywhere in our area now. Exciting.

Hope you get those taps installed soon!!

Hi All!

We have bought land in stage 6 (1 of the 10 lots located on lehmanns road) estimated titles in late march, had breakfast at the cafe on Saturday, was very impressed by the food and coffee!

Welcome to the community! Land titles in March hey, that's so soon! We only waited 3 months although I would have liked it to be longer to save more. It's a nice spot where you have chosen, I hope the land opposite stays as is - I love the open rural spaces and all the cows everywhere.

Have you decided on a house plan yet?

We are building in Eucalypt too..Just a quickie though..Did you all have to pay the community infrastructure levy or did the builder pay it on your behalf..ours is a house and land package,so not sure who pays it?

Welcome!
We had to pay the community infrastructure levy before the builder could apply for our building permit. $900 we thought was steep compared to all the other estates in the area.
You should check with your builder but i'm pretty sure you will have to pay it.
