If you're ok with riding on palmers then you can take that, otherwise you're on the money. Is it easy to get across from the right to left side of allura? How long is the "off road" section? I've been riding up to leakes, and then joining in to marquands there -.-

Cutting across Elmhurst is OK, not far at all and all the other roads have bike paths, not too keen on doing Leakes or Palmers above Sayers Road.

I've been on leakes (down to the fed trail) and it's not too bad. I've got thin tyres so the rocks are stuff can be a pain, but not the end of the world. Though in the morning I guess the traffic would make it tricky.

Just found out last night on the way home that they are putting up cyclone fencing across Elmhurst, if they block that off totally the only way out will be Leakes Road and that aint safe for bike riding!

This morning it was open so I used it, there is no construction going on, no trucks or tractors there so it was perfectly safe. Much much safer than trying to ride on Leakes and then down Palmers.

I am going to ask Stockland again this weekend when we can get more exits from this place, and until they do riding bikes is a big safety risk if Elmhurst is totally blocked!

Last night it was locked but there is a small gap on the right (if you're looking at marquands) which you could probably carry a bike through. (from memory there was no fence there a little while back - just a pissy wire thing that had mainly fallen over)

perhaps we all need to get together and speak to Stocklands as a group - perhaps in their sales office infront of potential clients - and demand they actually do something to fix the entry and exit points to our estate.

Just connecting Elmhurst would do wonders for the estate, maybe this cyclone fence means they are going to start work on the bridge but I am not going to get my hopes up.

I completely agree with you connecting Elmhurst to rest of the estate would do wonders .. even for their sales

Does anyone have any idea about when the nature strips will be done?

The original nature strips were done by Stockland and if yours is anything like mine, it was done before the build started. After a few months of a large bin sitting on it and rubbish piled around it the grass died.

My neighbour informs me that Stockland will redo them but as to when, who knows. Maybe the same time the join Elmhurst together!

yes - ours looks ordinary as well.... this morning i also saw tradies in their 4x4 driving across the reserve and path next to us - why cant they just drive around? it just damages the walking path and plantation......aarrgghh

hello everyone.
well with Australia day past - i think things will start to ramp up again with builders all coming back to work now. since we now live here - will be interesting to see how it all progresses over this year - how many more homes being built - the centre reserve area... hopefully more street access in and out of the estate?!?!?!

I agree, they have nearly finished the road the shops and school will be on so hopefully they join Elmhurst together and unite Allura for the first time.

on my side of Allura, there are a lot, i mean a lot, of houses are going to be built. lots and lots of temporary fences which make it all a bit more exciting! i also cant wait for elmhurst rd to connect so i can visit my friend's house on the other side...
also hope for the sports oval (hopefully tennis court will be there) and woolworth to be built.

i think if you see their 'original plans' vs their updated ones - there is alot less in terms of recreation - there was supposed to be more sports features but this has been watered down.

does anyone know what the structure is being built along with the play ground equipment at the entrance? bbq facilities?
