Not long now! I have been watching the progress of Grae's build closely as it is around the corner from my place, and from our site Anyway, once I work it out, I'll post images of our plan for anyone who's interested. We are building the Merlot 4 Terrazza Twisted Twist. Yep. It's a long story :/ Re: Who is building with Beechwood 4246Dec 12, 2013 12:00 pm daniel2ya blackenator Everyones house looks amazing if you dont mind me asking how much were the upgrades on top of the tenders? I have got my tender back and am trying to work out how much extra I am going to need for ceiling's downlights etc downlights will be about $70 to fit per light if you provide your own. our air con was about 13k out extension to the terrazza was 7k our tiles to the bathroom floor to cieling were about $1300 per bathroom our shower niche was about $350 per niche our kitchen upgrade and bathroom vanity upgrades was about 12k these are all rough figures but we added close to 50k to our house with upgrades. oh wow wasnt expecting that... From looking at the genesis inclusions I thoaught they were pretty good. Thanks I will use this as my guide Re: Who is building with Beechwood 4247Dec 12, 2013 12:04 pm blackenator daniel2ya blackenator Everyones house looks amazing if you dont mind me asking how much were the upgrades on top of the tenders? Yea it seems like forever but it takes less than a day to do the slab, has your reo delivered or the beams put up for the slab? It was 14 days including weekends from when our piers were done to get our slab done, but it did rain alot during that time. Then once the slab is done it's another 10 days until they can put the frame up lol constant waiting! Update on our build: We had our frame delievered yesterday!! So happy we were only hoping for a slab by xmas but looks like we will have our frame up too!! Wiz & Grae just wondering with your valuation, did you have one done before they started building as well? Our bank did the valuation with the final plans and haven't mentioned needing another one done, only inspections at the first and last stages. We are building the Merlot 4 Terrazza Twisted Twist. Yep. It's a long story :/ Welcome Twisted Twist ! Can't wait to see your plans, we too are also building the Merlot four terrazza twist (un twisted) lol Re: Who is building with Beechwood 4255Dec 12, 2013 1:57 pm Thanks and welcome Twisted Twist! Always love seeing new plans, get em up here Blackenator - it's true you don't have to spend an awful lot extra to get a lovely new home, however there will be things that you 'must have' as opposed to 'if we can afford it!' I think we went about $100 over the base price-ish..Now that included ALL the site costs etc, etc, not just customised variations - Everything. Sounds like a lot (and it is) but it is entirely up to you and your budget how much extra you want to spend. And the more expensive things make it add up really quickly, just the air con and higher ceilings was just over $20k. Tiler has finished and saw the SS on site this morning, the electrical guys were installing the alarm today, they will be back tomorrow to do their thing as well as the carpet and aircon happening, going to be a big day!! Wiz Built @ Brooks Reach Built the Verdelho Guest with Beechwood Re: Who is building with Beechwood 4256Dec 12, 2013 2:57 pm Hubby just went past the block & just as I was about to call the supervisor (no one has done anything at the house for 4 days) I have just been informed that all the doors/skirtings etc. have arrived! Finally! Looks like lock up will happen before Christmas... Gramy on the Central Coast Verdelho 5 with a twist! Re: Who is building with Beechwood 4257Dec 12, 2013 3:22 pm We were supposed to have a meeting today @ 3.30 on site ...waiting waiting SS didn't bother turning up , and no phone call or msg to let us know.... Has anybody dealt with an SS called Chris Southern Highlands & surrounds area ??? So peeved off with lack of customer service atm, and here I was thinking we were over that once we passed the sales office stage *called at 4.30 sorry can't make it very busy grrrrr !!! Re: Who is building with Beechwood 4258Dec 12, 2013 7:36 pm Hi Grae, we are building in your estate, over the bridge, first left, between the two houses up the top on the left. Hope you can follow that I will try to call in tomorrow if you're there, but I don't want to get in the way when there's so much going on. Very exciting for you and Wiz so close to Christmas! Re: Who is building with Beechwood 4259Dec 12, 2013 9:02 pm Swing by and say hi. Will be in and out from 8am. We are doing our walk through at 930.
