Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 21, 2013 9:08 pm Hi All, Got a question and just wanted to gauge your opinions. Im about to undertake a sub-division/development as an ownerbuilder. (im an Civil Engineer) Anyway my plans have been approved and endorsed by council and building permit issued..all up 15k approx The House i will be constructing is a Double Story Townhouse 17sq with its own 40 sqm backyard. Features stiffened raft slab, central zoned split system, solar hot water, double glazed windows, single garage, with a premium finish inside (bamboo flooring, 2pak kitchen). Lower level is brick with the top level being a blend of weatherboard and render. Roof is tiled and colorbond My estimates including 15% overun have come in at 211k, this includes sub-division costs, electricity authority costs, yarra valley water costs and tearing down the existing garage and carport to build. Also includes landscaping - block is 10.5m wide by 20m long. What are your thoughts on the 211k? (this does not include already out of pocket fees on plans etc), How much do you think a builder building to custom design would charge me for all the above?
