Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 15, 2013 8:37 pm Hello we are about a month away now from our Practical Completion Inspection and want to take our own building inspector is that something we need to ask or can we just take them along unannounced?. I am wanting to know what happens at the PCI and what happens after it and alike , we don't expect to find much but you never know better to be safe than sorry, we have watched very closely every step of the build so are fairly confidant, we suspect most of our issues will be build quality with finishes and alike. On that day the builder will arrange for the fitting of the appliances. (make sure you have got insurance from handover day) As a lot of appliances are stolen between handover and moving day I had curtains put up and moved in by myself on handover day before the family moved a week later.
