Hey Cackling, if you installed multiple data points throughout your house you will need a gigabit switch to split the one connection coming from your opticomm box to each port in your data/patch panel. I have 4 data points in the house, I just coupled them with the TV points, I will probably only use one initially for the main PC to run the wifi network off.
