Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit?

P.S: Juz, love your house blog, I visit it each week, lol saves the trip to Tarneit.

Thanks for having a look. As you would have imagined its slowed down somewhat in the last month.. Ill be going down this week again for a drive after work. To think ive been going down every week since October , and its still just grass.. Kinda sad, but hopefully the council get their act together fast so we can all start looking at our houses going up..

Who are you planning on building with RXBOI?

We were initially building with Simonds but have since swapped to Henley and are now building the Cooper. We have noticed that Simonds are selling a lot of house and land packages in Parkside on their website. We'll actually be 2 doors down from you

Went down there yesterday (good friday) and again nothing has started, considering that this was meant to be titled in Feb. Just another month wasted. All that nice weather we've been having and i bet theyll start the process and we'll be hit with Melbournes freaky storms or something else to drag this whole thing out..

I really hope they do something soon...

I spoke to elders real estate today and they said land wont settle in July as expected. It could be another 6 mths from now.

It was supposed to settle in February. And now they're telling you after July? Im beginning to think Parkside was one massive mistake.

All of this council stuff should have been done before offering the land for sale. Waiting a year while the council makes up its mind is just frustrating and stupid.

I'll be looking into my legal options in this case.

Hey Guys,

Just thought I would fill some people in..

I just spoke to someone called Helen at Wyndham Council, she outlined to me that there was nothing from the council's side holding back the development (approval had been granted a couple of weeks ago?). I have also contacted Bob from Elders who has outlined to me that the developer has received 100% approval to go to site and apparently there have been some engineers at the development these past couple of days, machinery to arrive shortly..

Lets hope something is there this week!

Ill drop down there Thursday night on the way home from work, and see if anything has happened and if any machinery has turned up. Ill be glad when they start on the roads, atleast that way we can start to see Parkside start to take shape rather than just a block of grass.

I went past at around 11.30am yesterday on the way to work and nothing had been done again... But!

My partner went past at about 4.30 and we have been scraped! The whole front section has been scraped level with large piles of dirt at the ends. I've got some pics but can't put them up at the moment. Finally some action!

Just went past on my way home from work and have noticed that they have started digging trenches and laying concrete (storm water?) pipes. There were 2 large diggers, several trucks and a whole crew of workmen on site. Great to see things moving!

has anyone heard when settlement is for stage 2? is it still end of July or delayed?

I don't think end of July will be too far off the mark, they are already laying road base on Basinview Drive and are probably not far off from laying on the service road as well... They are moving pretty fast.

As always i keep my blog updated on a weekly basis... Mainly Sundays... Hopefully, weather permitting, the roads will start to be concreted (gutters) and so on soon... shoudn't imagine we will be too far away now..

Received a letter from our conveyancer yesterday... They had contacted the developer on our behalf requesting an update on settlement for Stage 2. According to the written correspondance they received in return, Stage 2 is now due to title 24/11/2010, so there goes our September site start. Oh and more good news, if for some reason they dont make the 24/11 date, no titles can be issued in the month of December so we will have to wait until January!
