Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'm feeling a little lost today. I took over a few boxes of stuff yesterday (dvds, music, books and pots for plants) to make the most of the trip. And now, I have a 4 day weekend that I would like to utilise but I'm not sure what to do. We don't exactly know when we are moving yet, we need everything setup before we can move so that my partners business can continue operating smoothly. Our internet should be getting hooked up Tuesday, so we can basically move anytime after that. The issue is that my partner is constantly working... and super stressed. We planned to go to Ikea today so that he could buy desks/furniture to setup his office. But it doesn't look like he will have the time. He also would need to setup all his networking. AND, I'm struggling to find things that I can pack and take over in the meantime. Mostly because a lot of our stuff is well, his stuff. It all needs to be sorted (so we can throw out stuff we don't need/want).. and I can't do it without his assistance. I'd like to head over to do a proper clean of the house and take some proper photos whilst it's empty, but I feel it's a waste of a trip if I don't take stuff over. I've already wasted half of my day battling with all this in my head. I'll probably just head over tomorrow. Anyway, SO HAPPY THAT WE ARE DONE!!! Haha, also I'm pretty sure our last SS was the same as yours @breebarter Yay!!!!! Congratsssssss At least you don’t have much time restraints with your current lease and such. Sounds like your mind is running over time today! What’s in that tiny little box you got there? Lol Oh really! What makes you say that? I hope he was good to you, we couldn’t have asked for anyone better, however the poor bloke seems so bloody tired all the time lol! Re: Handover FRIDAY - Valeco - Polished Concrete + Monochrom 497Jun 10, 2018 10:31 am I want to know what's in the box as well - things will work themselves out... just focus on your stuff and your things, and when he's ready his stuff will eventually be put in the way you like it... We have soooooo much crap to move. I want to get rid of most of it before it's time - the less stuff, the less stress and moving costs.. i might go minimalist in this house lol Re: Handover FRIDAY - Valeco - Polished Concrete + Monochrom 498Jun 10, 2018 9:20 pm gr8ly I want to know what's in the box as well - things will work themselves out... just focus on your stuff and your things, and when he's ready his stuff will eventually be put in the way you like it... The box contained a bunch of nibblies and wine. Re: Handover FRIDAY - Valeco - Polished Concrete + Monochrom 499Jun 11, 2018 5:53 pm breebarter Yay!!!!! His first initial is S (I don't know what his last name was) and he said that he usually takes care of the Loganholme area. Haha, when I first bumped into him that evening I was watering plants he said "well, I better go... they don't pay me past 3.00pm" and it was probably 5.30pm by that point. Poor guy Re: Handover FRIDAY - Valeco - Polished Concrete + Monochrom 500Jun 11, 2018 6:01 pm Oh dear lol, he also lives at Burleigh way so he probably had a long trek back home too lol The concreter will take and reuse. In my case I bought structural LVLs and scraped them back and used them as joists. 1 5884 i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits. There's only one… 7 13517 |
