This is our floor plan, we choose the vogue floor plan with Dechellis.
We are waiting on our HIA contract and then we can go through selections, it's getting real now.
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Vogue Dechellis 5May 31, 2018 12:58 pm Nice house. Love the layout, especially all the big doors out to the alfresco. Great house for kids, especially with the retreat in the middle of the other bedrooms.
Re: Vogue Dechellis 6May 31, 2018 12:59 pm I can't imagine buying a block that size here in Sydney. My 2 cents.... 1. Any particular reason why you have no North Facing windows in Family room (also Bed 3). 2. Check if the aircon unit at North is ok considering it will bear the brunt of direct heat. 3. Consider moving the IT area away from North wall. If your router will be placed here, ensure that you have data points elsewhere in the (huge) house so you can install something like Linksys Velop 4. If you shift wardrobe of Bed 4 along that of Bed 3, it will give you good sound barrier between the two rooms. If you want to leave wardrobe of Bed 4 in current place, consider placement of light switch for that room. Similar light switch issue in Bed 2 5. I am sure you have thought it out already, check placement of Bed/accessories in Bed 1 and ease of movement around. 6. I assume the bins will be accessed via Laundry. Ensure concrete path for the moving bins to the kerb. Ooops that's more than 2 cents Re: Vogue Dechellis 7May 31, 2018 1:28 pm bestspecials Nice house. We love the idea of kids having their own wing of the house and shut them off from us in the future. We only added the alfresco recently but it's going to be huge!! So excited! We have contemplated adding a window onto the family area which will be our lounge room but on the other hand don't want a window next to or above our TV. 2. We will have to check that! Thanks. 3. We are planning on getting a few data points and having the router in the retreat so the wireless should be fine and TV's will be wired. 4. We hadn't thought that hard about the wardrobes but what you have mentioned is probably worth doing. We should be able to change this in selections. 5. Our bed head will be under the bulkhead and we have measured it out many times and know what bed we will be getting to fit. 6. Not sure where we will keep the bins yet, with a big backyard we may keep them near the shed (planned in the future) but we will have a strip of concrete all around the house. Thanks for all the suggestions. |
