Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Metricon Hebel textures 14May 05, 2017 9:28 pm fothers_5 Hi All, My husband and I have bought a 3XX block in the Cascades Estate at Silverdale also. We have been advised that registration will take place in October 2017. I am looking forward to following the posts on this thread I'm particularly interested in hearing how people go with the builders they have selected and what the average site costs come in at. We haven't chosen our builder yet but are considering GJ Gardner or possibly Eden Brae. Any feedback or comments are welcomed. Hi we are also building in the cascades we are building with Eden brae Re: Metricon Hebel textures 15Aug 01, 2017 2:41 pm Hi silverdale_g41 My husband and I are building in Melbourne with Metricon and the design we chose is Delta25S. Metricon offers full house render with Hebel. Unfortunately, I have the same question as yours (Sorry cant be of any help). Also, I heard that although Hebel has great insulation capacity and gives good look when compared to brick, it also has an issue with maintenance and long term sustainability. I read many forums and reviews where they say that it cracks on the exterior of the house after a couple of years and it also requires cleaning with water from the outside once a year and re-painting the house ever 8-10 years. Heard of these issues???? I haven't asked my consultant about this yet, but not sure if this is going to change my mind to brick. @ ALL- Please share any reviews and experiences. 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6758 Since you are in the design stage then I would direct your questions, in writing of course, to your designer. Depending on the trust you have in the competence of your… 4 5963 Would also like an opinion from anyone that has used xcem over hebel for floors. Thanks 1 15178 |
