Hi Everyone,

I just have a quick question. I have chosen to get sliding doors for the wardrobe in the bedrooms. I am just wondering for those who have passed this stage. Are your sliding doors like that in all display homes or are they different. I asked for sliding doors and they just said yes and i have no idea what they are going to look like.

Hi abhi,
Did they tell you that the Griffith facade is not actually rendered like the one in the picture. I found that out after my house has been rendered. Fairly annoyed.

Splash back price seems a bit low. You need to pay for fire proofing as well which is not included. I guess it all depends on the size of splash back you got.

Also make sure you get them to specify on the drawings where the joins are if there are 2 pieces or more.

hi all were building with bermuda 23 and weve been charged for $1,888 for render with ferndale facade!!it seems like its not right!

just a quick question anyone here is having easement on their block?becaause we have 3meters easement on our block and PD told us to reduced 520mm on kitchen,alfresco and living area they said that it is the council regulation.thank you

Hi Melvinglenncallejo, we have a 2metre easement on our block as well, PD must have said that to avoid having piers or something on your slab? I am still waiting for PD to bring our easement issue up with us

hi katemorley91,yah worst thing is we already signed the contract before seeing all of these post and also they have to upgrade our slad to h2 and its an additional costs for us!may i ask on how much is your total building costs?thank you

Oh really, so does the 520mm reduction on your house still mean you have to get piers or do you just have to upgrade your slab? How far away is the end of your slab to your fence line?
We wont be near contract stage until the end of this year but we are looking at about $220,000 - $230,000 for everything

Yes Facade is not rendered as in Picture, its all brick work. Paying on top of 5K for render is very annoying.

We realised this when we went to sign our initial contract with PD, we were very upset with them. This is because of Facade we have chosen. Riva would be the best because you will only take out 17cms with Frendale its 50cms.
If you are reducing dont take the whole thing off your living, thats my suggestion. It will make a huge impact on dining are.
We decided to take 25cms off living and alfresco and 25 cms through Garage and WIR. Which we thought will be less noticeable.

Standard slab is Class M, most places you build in Melbourne will be type H or Type P. You will need to upgrade slab anyway.
From my research Site costs in Allura is around 10K to 12K for a 23 to 24 Sq house, unless there is serious issues with the block (like a boulder or too steep and requires retaining wall).

hi our site cost that was written in the contract is 19,500, hmpppp, did you pay for bushfire levy? we did and its additional cost for us like 5k

Yessss we paid bushfire levy too

not happy about the price but always good to have those extras on the house. ours is at $17,500 estimated at the moment
