We have been living in our house for just over 1 year and have had nothing but issues with movement and cracking, including bricks cracking and pushes out.
Although we have both front and back exposed aggregate, the builder is trying to lay the blame on us as we only have compressed stone down the sides. We were of the opinion that you should allow some moisture into the clay ( reactive volcanic), to stop it fully sting out. Even without concrete in the sides, I am amazed at the movement that has occurred in under 2 years of being built.
Can I ask if it is our issue for not concreting down the sides of the house, noting the builders display home have no concrete on sides and back of their show homes, and yet have no major movement or cracking.
Thanks in advance,
