Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Jul 21, 2019 3:27 am Greetings, We got our new home handed over late May/early June 2019.Now there are few repairs that obviously were overlooked and highlighted to the builder at PCI which are still getting dragged. The builder is now trying to postpone them till the 3 month inspection even after many emails/phone calls which is really frustrating. What has been your experience in these circumstances and what leavers do i have to get this mob on the job. Thanks in advance MB ( MEL/VIC ) Re: New home. Frustrating battles with the builder to fix 3Jul 23, 2019 11:31 pm Once you have handed your money over you have much less leverage. But do not despair yet. I think that is pretty standard for builders to say wait for that inspection for anything that is not urgent. Any plumbing problems etc they will likely rush over to rectify. Make a long list for your 3 month inspection. I’d encourage you to have your communication with them in writing. Take photos so they cannot say you caused damage. If you didn’t have one consider having a private inspector come through with you before the on site inspection. 3 months go by fast. Good luck DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair If the railhead is so poorly fixed it is also likely that the railhead is also non compliant, what about overflows and sealing railhead to the gutters?. 3 5978 Need to remove glass panel out of concrete without wrecking the glass to get the spa room in, any recommendations on how to do that.
