Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Jul 14, 2019 2:12 pm Hi, I’m looking at installing a built in pizza oven in one corner of my deck and not sure if 8 additional supports will be enough. My deck sits 100mm off the ground and is made up of 140x45 h3 treated structural pine as joists, bearers are supported every 1m, 500mm spacing, with jarrah decking boards. Where the pizza oven is planned to go I was going to put in 8 additional concreted posts (posts will be 100x100 treated h4 pine 500mm in concrete) evenly spaced in a 1500x1500 square (two parallel rows of 4). The pizza oven and bench top will weigh approx. 600kg. I just want to know if I can work out the load capacity? And if what I plan is enough? Any help would be great.
