We had a private inspector and many trades in this area since handover, but no one ever mentioned this was an issue. Is there a way to seal this? Should I? Will it eventually let water in? (We've been in the home for the good part of a year and no issues), I only really noticed the gap recently myself. Obviously an entry point for rodents. I have no idea what to do with the gap and I am worried if I steal it and water gets in somehow, it won't be able to get out? Any advice appreciated. The image is too closeup hence cannot figure out the issue with the larger circle. Re: Gaps on exterior 3May 08, 2019 11:12 am Just know that somethings shouldn't be sealed. Yes, this is what I was worried about. Just not sure I have any business asking the builder almost a year later, but I did see a mouse climb up the wall on the opposite end of the house a few days ago (caught it thankfully)!!!! We have a lot of houses going up so seems an issue in our estate. If it's not a water issue maybe I can put some mesh up... The bottom gap looks to me like fascia is too short.
