I got invoice after they have layed the slab , the variation price they are charging me for salinity in soil , they should have send that land report to me before laying slab... now they are asking me to pay that money . I am comman person trying hard to make money and this is second time they have sent me variation charges , does any one have this kind of problem with champion home . It is not fair to send invoice of $4500 to do the slab due to salinity in soil after laying the slab . they should have inform me before hand . If I will keep getting this type of variation then where will I produce money from. It’s not fair on my side . Pls if anyone had same issue then feel free to reply here I suggest you get a copy of the engineers details & geotech report and take your compliant to fair trading NSW/Building commission. OT. It's prudent to 1. Have all variations in writing 2. variations should be agreed to and signed by all parties prior to work commencing 3. Structural Variations should be certified and inspected by your Structural Engineer 4. your Engineer will give 24 hrs notice on inspection of reinforcement/concrete trades, lock in the time a few hours before the pour, in case the trucks need to be diverted at builders expense 5. Inspect all works take photos...once buried/cover often forgotten months on.. foundations are critical!
