Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Apr 18, 2018 11:20 pm Hi there, I'm opening a restaurant and our architect, who liased with the council has told us we need a disabled toilet + unisex toilet. its really bothering me because there is a public disabled toilet 15m down same street. Its taking up 10sqm (inc walking space) of my 40sqm kitchen. is there any way that i can amend the toilet requirement or anything to save us some space! is there any wiggle room when it comes to these types of things? Re: disabled + Unisex toilet for my restaurant! help!!! 2Apr 19, 2018 8:49 am Seeing as your architect has already liased with the Council, you’d assume you’ll have to comply. I’d also almost say this is a troll post, so you’re not happy with providing a toilet for the disabled and expect them to head 15m down the street to use one? And lastly why ask this on a forum anyway?
