Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Mar 11, 2018 2:29 pm This may sound silly but we have just finished building a new place and I was wondering does the garage slab (which is part of the main slab) have to be coated for protection? I don't need to make it look good and am fine with the way it is, but noticed that water that gets carried into the garage via the car (after rain) drips onto the ground - overtime, will this cause damage to the slab? Or is this considered too minimal and wont cause any damage to the slab? Thanks Re: Does garage slab needs to be coated? 2Mar 11, 2018 4:16 pm Water won't make any difference to the slab. Any oil drips however will stain the concrete. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get !
