Hi all,
We're fast approaching PCI and I've been going back over our Simonds built home looking at items to raise in the inspection. After doing a walk around I noticed 1 no brick that had a substantial hole in it (see pic).
I raised this with the SS who advised me he intended on filling the hole with quick-set or the like and attempting to colour match the brick rather than replace one masonry unit.
His excuse was if we replace one brick, it would be too hard to colour match the mortar and it would stand out even more.
I find this hard to believe given the mortar is a natural finish and is the standard (unless upgraded at cost) for simonds builds.
I'm keen to get others take on this and whether I insist on having it replaced given it's inconstant with all other masonry units in the build OR if i'm being pedantic over one brick!
