If it's DW1 a perp end dimensional tolerance is 10mm +/- 3mm [ie 7mm-13mm] If they are rated DW0 there is no perp end dimensional tolerance. The pics make me assume the brickwork is a 290mm [Long] x 162mm [High] x 90mm [thick] block. If so it shouldn't be laid on a third bond but instead using a 240mm long block on each course left/right the external corners allowing a transition into a standard half bond for the rest of the wall.
