Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Feb 09, 2016 10:45 pm Hi everyone, Has anyone here got a good understanding of purlin spans. Our engineer had specified 200 C or Z purlins @ 1.9mm thick. Our spans are between 7.5 to 8.5 meters. I have installed 200 x 1.9mm Z purlins with a single midspan bridge and 1200mm apart. Our roofing is klip-lok sheets. When I walk on the roof it feels slightly bouncy. I'm concerned that our future ceilings will crack etc.... Does anyone here have any suggestions or an understanding of what spec purlins would normally be used in this context. (I have also posted this in my Owner Builder thread) Thanks 2 6314 There is no reason why building contract reconciliation cannot be done prior to handover, if the builder won't do it get someone to do it for you. Why would you pay for… 3 5010 |
