Builder has advised there is an issue on our plans as drawn whereby the entry to the upstairs lounge area turns out to be only 1.9m high lol. This is because of where the roof trusses extend to with the raked roof. He is wanting to rectify it for us before going further.
If you have a look at the section it does appear the architect has, in error, drawn it this way.

The builder identified after roof trusses were installed. Suggests sawing off those trusses and stepping the ceiling up again there (similar to a void), the roof plane would then go all one way on the outside if that makes sense.
He will ask the architect to wear the variation. Can any of you clever people provide other comment/ideas. I can provide the drawings.
any experience with asking architect/engineer to pick up tab for drafting errors? Of course it does happen from time to time with architects, builder advises while they don't like to wear it they generally will. Is it certainty the case it's an error in the drawings themselves?
Would a 1.9m height doorway be an issue according to the code? Because then the error is clear. Of course we have signed the plans too but it is a technical or perhaps compliance issue we would not have noticed. Who wears it and how to fix? Thanks
