All good, got myself some unitie straps and nailed them on, all good except for a mishap with the hammer and finger.. One per joist. Can't seem to work out if there should be two per joist after reading the literature online, and my builder-of-knowledge has gone on holidays. Should I be doubling these up to two unities for each joist? The beams are only supporting the ceiling so I can remove a centre wall and increase the joist span, the remainder of the structural framing is already in place.
