Bricklaying in rain should be avoided or fully covered. Rain may not always fall vertically, but it doesn't always fall horizontally ! I really would like to think that nearly all brickies have a few brains, and not put up bricks and mortar on the side of the house where the rain is actually impacting the freshly laid bricks.
