Is there maintenance procedures that have to be followed for emergency evacuationg lighting and portable fire extinguishers that a high rise office building must be followed by law??? No doubt it's written somewhere what the intervals should be.
Fire brigade normally comes out and checks extinguishers, they have a set schedule also. Re: Lighting and portable fire extinguishers 3May 07, 2008 3:25 pm Evacuation lighting should have a test button on the side. It is recommended that all emergency lighting to be tested frequently.
As for the fire extinguishers, im sure the fire brigade can help. Hope this helps.
