I recently discovered a long term water leak inside my bathroom wall which has rotted away timber flooring, joists, and some of the vertical timber framing posts. I have removed all the affected timber and am now in the process of rebuilding. I have had to cut away a metre at the bottom of one of the vertical timber framing posts. Can anyone tell me what might be an acceptable method to fix a replacement piece of timber to the existing post? Many thanks beach beachsides Building Standards; Getting It Right!
