Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Oct 26, 2012 9:10 pm Hello Everyone, Hope you can assist with my problem. Our neighbour is in the process of building a bali hut. The posts have been erected which back onto our fence. They are very close, approx 150mm from the top of our fence. My concern is when they put the the roof on it will likely over hang or be flush depending on the design I guess. Besides been so close, Im worried that when it rains that run off from the roof will go straight into our pool / area. Their block is approx half a meter higher than ours and building the hut on a high deck so it stands about 4m high without the roof from our ground level. It looks monstrous I hate to raise my concerns with them but its really something I will find difficult to tolerate and maybe better to do so now while in early stages of the build before the builders come back to complete it. I hope to get some advise from the members here on how best to handle a situation like this and if they are building outside NSW regulations. Thank you.
