The powder room downstair is right in the middle of the house not bordering any external wall, so it is completely enclosed. The only ventilation is the ceiling extracting fan above the shower. From the builder's drawing, it says "Vent pdr into roof space", but base on the way this house is constructed, I don't think the powder room is vented to anywhere at all and I think it's a major issue, it could potentially causes structure damage down the track. As you can see from the mock-up below, I suspect the steam/moisture from shower will be trapped between the joists and 2 steel beams. The builder however don't seem to share the same thinking. I had the frame stage and final stage inspected by two different private inspectors, both of them failed to spot the issue. Could someone shed some light please.
