Hi there
We are currently 3/4 of the way through building a house on acreage in SE Qld and would love to hear from people who could help me understand how many pipes we should have into our 32 000 litre inground water tank from our roof? At this stage we only have one, but considering that every single other house (established or being built) in the estate has two and we have a 25 degree roof pitch on a large roof (ie house is 40 squares) i would think that this is inadequate.
We have approached the builder to ask why and the plumber who completes all of their work contacted us to tell us that it'll be OK and if we do want two 'that'll be $800 thanks very much' My husband is going straight to the top of the company this morning to have a "word" but would love to hear if there is some requirement/legislation that we can use in our favour.
So far this morning I have looked through the Qld Govt Waterwise, DNR and EPA websites and the MPAQ, but can't find anything entirely definitive.
If anyone has ANY feedback, I would be entirely grateful.
