just wanting some feed back from plumbers please. had a house built 4 years ago and had nothing but trouble with blocked toilets. 6 months after build had to get pipe coming into inspection pipe in back yard dug up and relaid as when laid all the back fill sank causing last io to become dislodged.
was fine for about a year and more troubles pipe inspection revealed 2 x couplings had become dislodged and builder agreed to have 2 x relines done at these points during this inspection 2 notes were taken in regards to 2 sections of pipe being crushed by what we suspect to be large rock back filled on pipe.
Just had plumbers out to dig up and re-lay pipe from slab perimeter to last io aprox 6 meters as pipe was laid on top of a large rock and ground either side of this had sunk resulting in water running back towards house during this dig up there were a number of rocks backfilled directly onto sewer pipe yet again with little to no quarter midas around pipe. The plumber who did the repair work was a nice guy and wasnt very happy with the work his company had done 4 years ago.
MY question is what should be done about the crushed pipe sections under the slab and should i be asking the builder/plumber to fix. I know this will involve my slab being cut to access pipes or is there another way to cut though rocks on top of pipes from inside the pipe inself and reline. Should i seek advice from plumbing commission?
Thanks Dean
