Building Standards; Getting It Right!

I am building with metri*con now and having problem with the brick and mortar. My house having dark brown color brick and off white mortar. Now the brick is leeching color to ther mortar and make the mortar become brown in some part of the house.
Two issue that i have a the moment:
1. They said its natural for the brick to leech color and after a while it will stop ( the brick has been installed for more than 6 months) They washed the mortar yesterday and I inspect the house again today I notice that the color of the mortar become yellowish.
2. I talk to them again and their reason now is that because it hasnt dried properly. after the hot weather the yellowish mortar will turn to white again.
Are those 2 statement are true? the reason for i dont believe them are:
1. Those bricks have been washed 3 times in the last 6 month (after they finish the outside, first and second inspection about 3 weeks apart).
2. because even though after the rain last night, the mortar at the front of the house where the color is off-white still stay off-white while the side still yellow.
Thanks for the advise.

Why do builders think that washing bricks again and again will fix every problem?
Without looking at the pictures you almost certainly have acid burn.
Acid has penetrated the brick surface and sisolved the iron in the clay/sand. Everytime the brick is saturated the water on the brick surface evaporates leaving the iron on the surface. As more moisture comes out in a capilary action this stain gets more and more noticable.
The area needs treatment not flooding with water.
Read the Brickwork Manual and the Brick Cleaning Guide for more info.
Being a builder is more than just having once held a hammer. It's about the trades you hire and ensuring that they give a result that meets the industry standard and the home owners expectations.
