Hi,
Hoping that someone may be able to assist with a disagreement between 2 electricians (our usual electrician and a subbie from the kitchen company) that I stuck trying to resolve.
The kitchen subbie has extended the existing 6mm stove circuit to the new induction cooktop location with a 4mm cable. The cooktop we are installing is induction and is rated as max 7.4kW.
Our electrcian is saying that best practice is that the circuit is rated for the particular appliance and a 6mm cable should be maintained.
Kitchen subbie is saying that a 4mm cable can be used in conjuction with a 32A circuit breaking and that his work is as per standards.
Obviously don't want the kitchen to be installed and then on the rare occassion that I need to use all 4 hot plates at 100%, find that I can't.
Thanks
