OK,
I've had a long running issue with some T&G hardwood floors that were installed in my house. The result being 2-3mm gaps left between boards everywhere. There's evidence that the boards have been glued together which would cause this, but the builder has convinced the BSA that the reason there is glue pushed to the surface between the boards (even after sanding) is because some boards have been defectively milled. ie, 2-3mm narrower than expected.
I have spoken to the timber supplier and they stand by their product, and even if there were defectively milled boards, they should never have been installed. Especially seeing they supplied an extra 10% to cover an issues.
So my question is. IF these boards were milled defectively, than who's to blame that they are now in my house and left a sub standard floor? And who is responsible to fix it?
Cheers
