It will be tough to trim the slab, but it can be done. How much is acceptable... some is better than negative... All I can imagine is that the granos used hardiflex or some other form that opened up a bit at the corner. Maybe they were short of forms???? Will any harm be done?? I don't believe so, so long as you remove the dam and clean up the snodge and see what you are left with. Where you are coming from is where you are going to... All landscaping needs to be below the DPM (damp course membrain - where the bricks meet the slab) otherwise you allow water to enter at the weep holes and start a whole lot of new problems) You may be able to cut or chip it away but be carful you dont expose any steel reo (which will need to be recovered) Re: Slab overhang 5Feb 20, 2011 10:39 pm Hi all thanks for the replies (have to admit I had forgotten this post ) There is a couple of places that where too short on the other end of this part of slab and they have been reinforced with a stainless steel plate. We plan on running a concrete path around house to cover this mess and we are hoping the builder will come to the party to help us with is as it is very ugly. Tho it doesnt appear to compromise the actually building it really peeves us off LOL and will make it a bit harder to do what we had planned. Anyway we have 7 acres here so not as if we are short on space to landscape so at least thats not a worry.
