Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Dec 06, 2010 8:21 pm Hi All, Someone else may have asked similar question before, however since I have a specific situation I'd like to ask this again. I received Fixing stage invoice lastweek, however I found some discrepancies. my HIA contract says, Fixing stage is : "the stage when all internal cladding, architraves, skirting, doors, built in shelves, baths, basins, troughs, sinks, cabinets and cupboards of a home are fitted and fixed into position". Most of things are in place except there is no bath (only the frame and some cement sheeting), no basins, no throughs, no sinks. Is this consider fixing stage completed ? I have another question, I have floorboard variation in liu of tiles, the builder include the full amount of the variation in this stage invoice. they installed the floorboard but abviously not going to finish (sanding/polishing) it untill completion stage. is it fair they charge me all up front ? I contacted the builder for the past few days, trying to get them to explain but they seem ignoring me and never return my call, my deadline of paying the invoice is getting closer. I am affraid if I don't make the payment, they will stop the work or use that as an excuse for the delays they are making, does anyone has any suggestion what is the best thing to do ? Thank you. Thanks for much mate. I see that you do cabinets before flooring. For timber flooring, for most parts it's fine because it's got base plates, and for door jabs you can… 7 11486 I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says. Thanks 2 9535 Plumbers 'can be' plumbers, made all the worse by self certification which the building surveyor invariably accepts as proof of compliance! The good thing is that you know know. 3 4768 |
