hi all,
needs some advice.
Recently I have newly installed a under floor gas ducted heating. And I have a concern regarding the installation. The plumber did not install a lintel plate on the top of the cavity in the brick wall to support the weight where the duct from outdoor heater unit coming into and out of the brick veneer house.
I had question the plumber about it, was told that since the cavity was on the either side of the pier, it is not required. I have did some measurement, the opening is about 500 and 400 mm on either side of the pier (the width of the pier is about 300mm).
So just wondering is there any regulation in victoria to specify the minimum cavity width that must have a lintel bar installed considering it is next to a pier?
